Milk Run/Load Management

A Milk Run comprises multiple consignments that are delivered on a dedicated truck. The charge for the load is determined by an hourly hire basis or is based on kilometres travelled and a demurrage for each drop. The load charge is split amongst the consignments in proportion to the weight of the consignment to the total weight of the load.

Fixed Price Quotes

The ability to override the calculated charge with a quoted amount.
The ability to enter the charge to be allocated to a customer.

Add-on Charges

i-Supply's flexibility allows the ability to include:

charges to a load that are split between the consignments on the load
charges to a consignment that are calculated as a percentage of the carrier charge (excluding add-on charges)

Advance Delivery Notification

i-Supply electronically prepares and remits delivery and consignment information to external and internal customers.

Proof of Delivery

i-Supply receives e-mail from the Consignment Receivers automatically, closing off consignments. This can facilitate the move to electronic commerce and can reduce the cycle time by confirmation of a consignments delivery.

i-Supply hotspots to freight carrier Web sites to automatically track consignments. Freight carriers are now using Web sites as a form of shipper and receiver call avoidance under the guise of increased efficiency. Over time, as information is stored, rates are passed through historical data to determine exact cost. Statistics are maintained on route growth and decline, forecasting is a standard but controlled feature of the system.
